We were connected with Lou through some mutual friends and have been big fans ever since. His collection of work has an inspired effortless California cool throughout. If you ever need a little mental vacation, take a deep breath, and scroll through a few of his photos. You’ll be whisked away in no time.
We asked Lou a few questions about how he sees things:
What do you love about what you do for a living?
What is there not to love?! I get to travel, work with other creatives, work with my friends, and produce images that I both love and am proud of.
How long have you being doing it?
I’ve been in the photo industry since 2003. I was a photo assistant for close to 5 year before making the transition to shooting for myself.
What place(s) do you go to find inspiration?
I find inspiration in so many different things… it could be people watching at an airport, finding the perfect light in a random location, or traveling to a new place. Inspiration is everywhere!
Do you have an upcoming project you can share with us?
Yes! i’m actually in production for a spirits company. We’ll be shooting in LA at a local bar. The idea of the shoot is all about brotherhood. The exciting part about this project is that one of the shots will feel like it was shot in the 40’s. We’ll also be shooting video so keep a look out in the next few months for both the images and videos.
What is something most people don’t know about you?
I’m really into using emoji’s ??
What is your favorite wearable/fashion item?
